CHILDREN'S television is quite an art. It's not just a matter of throwing together simple tunes, basic storylines and bright colours. Successful children's TV also requires the presence of a large, formless creature, an entity usually combining equal elements of human and bovine. The cow-beast is crucial.
So it is with Bowling for Columbine, Michael Moore's Cannes-winning documentary on the wrongs of guns, capitalism, and America, now screening in Australia. The simple tunes and basic storylines are in place. Moore himself plays the Dorothy the Dinosaur role, clumsily loping about in pursuit of Bad Guys. It's a kid flick for the adult anti-American market.
Moore manipulates this market so expertly that you anticipate fans squealing "Go Mikey!" every time he plods smugly into frame. Fans like The Age's Stephanie Bunbury: "Isn't that great, you think with a huge sigh of relief as you see him bearing down, amiable but inexorable, on the next feral gun owner or racist lunatic. Go Mikey!"
Yay! Margaret Pomeranz of SBS's Movie Show awarded Columbine five stars, and also got into the toddler spirit: "Moore shambles around with his baseball cap on, his stomach hanging out; almost a teddy bear figure, Moore seems to encompass so much that's terribly important in the world today with the United States on the brink of yet another international gun expedition." Movie Show co-presenter (and film reviewer for The Australian) David Stratton detected vast importance, too: "It's a sobering film, but never a dull one, thanks to the brilliance of Moore's sometimes scatological approach to a profoundly important subject."
The subject is obviously so profoundly important that no local reviewer has been bothered to report the controversy in the US over Columbine's inaccuracies and distortions. Journalists have a damned nerve charging people money for less information than is available free on the internet. Writing about Columbine without addressing its flaws is like writing about Michael Jackson without mentioning that these days he looks like an albino bat.
A mind given to conspiracy theories might conclude that an element of cover-up is involved. For the record, and because you apparently won't read it elsewhere in the Australian press, here is a brief list of things believed wrong about Columbine, from sources ranging from Salon.com and Forbes to London's Sunday Times (these and more may be found at [url]www.moorewatch.com[/url]):
The title refers to two teenagers, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, who shot up Columbine High School in 1999, killing 13 people and themselves. Moore asserts that they went bowling on the morning of the massacre. Police now say they did not.
Moore shows a television ad for the 1988 Bush/Quayle presidential campaign targeting the "revolving door" prison system run by Michael Dukakis in Massachusetts. Superimposed on the ad, as though there originally, are the words: "Willie Horton released. Then kills again." Moore added that line, which in any case is wrong; Horton didn't kill, but raped a woman while released.
Moore theorises that the Columbine killers were inclined towards murder because their town is home to a Lockheed-Martin weapon-making facility. The plant in question actually builds devices that launch TV satellites.
Moore implies that the US-led bombing of Kosovo on the morning of the killings possibly motivated Klebold and Harris. He doesn't mention their alleged Nazi fixation, or that they killed their classmates and teachers on Hitler's birthday.
A graphic superimposed over footage of the second jet slicing into the World Trade Centre reads: "Sept. 11, 2001: Osama bin Laden uses his expert CIA training to kill 3000 Americans." Sure, Mike. Moore wrote the day after the attack that the victims "did not deserve to die. If someone did this to get back at Bush, then they did so by killing thousands of people who DID NOT VOTE for him . . . Why kill them?" Soon afterwards he deleted these words from his website.
Although his film is about US gun violence, Moore avoids speaking to any black victims of gun violence ââ¬â in a society where 55 per cent of gun murder victims are black.
Columbine spends much time praising peaceful, multicultural Canada, where everybody leaves their doors unlocked and nobody shoots each other. Moore doesn't mention 1989's Ecole Polytechnique massacre in Montreal, when gunman Marc Lepine killed 14 women due to his hatred of feminists.
Moore largely dodges the issue of gun crime in cities, where 70 per cent of US gun murders occur. A crime of the type that took place in Columbine (more than five dead in a mostly white suburban area) represented less than one-tenth of one per cent of murders in 1999.
Moore claims that the US provided tens of millions worth of aid dollars to Afghanistan's Taliban rulers in 2000-01. That money was provided for famine relief and was distributed by the UN and non-government organisations.
No wonder Moore is so popular in France, where Thierry Meyssan's book Effroyable Imposture (which argued that September 11 was engineered by the American government) became a bestseller.
Some of his reviewer/fans share Moore's accuracy problems. Bunbury claimed that "he bails up the entire management of Kmart and confronts Charlton Heston on his own front veranda" although he meets only a few Kmart management types and interviews Heston inside his house; and The Australian's Jane Cornwell wrote that Columbine's vile three-minute cartoon history of the US, written by Moore and made by animators FlickerLab, was produced "by the guys from South Park".
Just as wrong are reviewers' standard lines about Moore "taking on big business" and "standing up for the little guy". This post would go over great on Free Republic, what with all the French-bashing and all (is that where you got it?) It reeks of a neo-con jew. I must admit, I've never seen Bowling For Columbine, but I did see Roger And Me and I enjoyed it. Not sure why capitalism is so popular with you so-called WNs anyway; many big companies are run by jews. Also, it's not communists/socialists that are pushing miscegenation down our throats (seen any commercials lately?), or promoting illegal immigration, or shipping jobs overseas.

Do a search engine check for article's by Alexander Cockburn on Mikey Moore.. Mr. Cockburn has consistantly torn him to shred's and exposed him now for over ten years.. Some of the very finest article's to found exposing the treasonous slime bag for a buck have been by Cockburn...A beached whale look's better than Moore too...

I could(n't) care less what Alex Cock(sucker)burn says (odd that such a White-hating liberal could become so popular in WN circles). Cockburn is just jealous because Moore is more well-known than he. Anyway, Michael Moore is at the bottom of the list of problems facing the White race. I just found Roger & Me to be an entertaining, and enlightenling movie. I was touched by the plight of all those working-class White people that you White elites don't seem to give a sh*t about.

The "Nazi Killers" That Never Were Part 1 - The Truth Behind The Columbine Murders
It is certainly the case that in a world which appears to be becoming just an unending succession of wars, famines, assassinations and atrocities, events like Columbine tend to be forgotten within days simply because other horrors force themselves onto our newspaper front pages.
"NEO-NAZIS" In so far as people are likely to remember anything about Columbine, it is highly probable that they will remember it as the work of "Neo-Nazis" who, inflamed by racial hatred, went on a killing spree. The problem, however, is not merely that such a ââ¬Ëmemory' is distorted; it is that it is wholly untrue in every respect, and yet the mass media have done nothing to dislodge this false memory, nor to explain the real reasons for this horrible massacre.
At the Columbine High School, there were two gangs: the Jocks and the Trench Coat Mafia, the former being the dominant and bullying force, the other being the ââ¬Ëunderdogs'. Tension builds over time, and the Trench Coat Mafia decides to settle scores in Wild West fashion. The outcome is 14 dead youngsters, and both of the killers shot dead by an assortment of snipers from the BATF, SWAT, FBI and police.
Within hours, the world hears that "Neo-Nazis" have been responsible for the massacre. The evidence? The two killers both spoke German; the massacre took place on April 20th, Hitler's birthday; their targets were minorities. It looks conclusive, and yet within days, the whole story begins to unravel as investigators start discovering discomforting facts that do not fit the picture. Of course, that does not prevent the liberal lobby from going into overdrive.
VIOLENCE
President Clinton appears on television, suitably wet-eyed, and says that violence settles nothing; that violence in Hollywood films and explicit video games are responsible for the tragedy ââ¬â this from a man who, at the same time, was bombing helpless civilians throughout Yugoslavia.
The anti-gun lobby announce that this is just one more reason to make sure that guns are banned. The concern over the dead youngsters is more apparent than real, for the anti-gun lobby is anxious to disarm an American population which is becoming extremely worried by a government repression.
The first major blow to the demands of the liberal lobby comes when it is made public that one of the killers, Dylan Klebold, was Jewish! In a report dated April 26th, and written by Sharon Cohen of the Associated Press, it was revealed that Mrs. Klebold was Jewish. It was also revealed that her grandfather, Leo, had been a rich philanthropist in Columbus, Ohio, where his memory lives on. We were further told that Mr. Klebold was a well-known liberal and, irony of ironies, a strong advocate of gun control!
What was the response of journalists like Ted Koppel, Michael Levin and Dan Rather, who had been hammering into the minds of millions for days on end that the Trench Coat Mafia was "a Neo-Nazi group"? Silence.
Thereafter, the letters, diaries and website of these boys are closely scrutinised for clues, for a deeper understanding of their motivation. What do we find? No mention of Nazism! Indeed, there is absolutely no political ideology to be found anywhere in their writings!
ASIAN AND MEXICAN
What about racism? It transpires that Eric Harris, the second killer, had two best friends beyond Klebold. One is Asian and one is Mexican. It also happens that of the 14 "victims of racism" only one was a Black, and he was shot because he was a Jock.
It is surely obvious that these have got to be the strangest "Neo-Nazis" ever to have walked the face of the earth. They kill mainly white youngsters; their friends are ethnic minority members; and at least one of them is Jewish!
GERMAN?
What about the fact that they had learned to speak German? Both were followers of a German ââ¬ËGothic' acid-rock group called KMFDM, which are the German initials for "No Majority For Pity". Klebold and Harris wore the ââ¬Ëuniform' of this group regularly and sought to enter the ââ¬Ëworld' of KMFDM more profoundly by learning the original language of the lyrics. Interestingly, prior to the massacre, KMFDM announced that they were splitting up and that their last album would be released on April 20th.
SATANIC
Were KMFDM a ââ¬ËNazi' group? No, simply a part of that cult music world which is heavily tainted by the occult and the satanic. It is also an interesting, if little mentioned, fact that Denver, Colorado is the home to two leading ââ¬Ëmusicians' who are big in this field, and who were recently exposed by Final Conflict magazine in their revealing booklet, Satanism and its Allies: The Nationalist Movement Under Attack.
If these discrepancies were not enough to lay the myth of "a Neo-Nazi massacre" to rest, it transpired that the two killers were alleged homosexuals! Matt Drudge, a well-known American right wing writer, reproduced a piece from the website of a "gay biker" which, praising Klebold and Harris, said in part that they were "a bunch of our fellow homosexuals who decided that they had taken enough". Were they homosexual? It is difficult to know since convincing proof is hard to come by. The fact that they wore nail polish could be explained by the fact that this is common in ââ¬ËGothic' circles; the fact that they were regarded as "faggots" throughout the school could be simply schoolyard gossip and abuse.
LUVOX
A real breakthrough comes when ABC's Colorado affiliate reports on May 4th: "The coroner has released further toxicology reports on Eric Harris, one of the two dead suspects. Specialized testing shows levels of Luvox in Harris' blood in a therapeutic range".
To the average citizen, this means nothing and neither the Washington Post in its article, Shooter Used Often-Prescribed Drug, nor CNN in its report entitled, Columbine Shooter Was Prescribed Anti-depressant, did anything to enlighten him on the matter. They both concluded that there was no connection between this drug and the massacre.
DEPRESSION
Yet we find that in the American Journal of Psychiatry (September 1991), this conclusion: "Our observations confirm the efficacy of fluvoxamine [Luvox] in the treatment of depression, but suggest that this drug can induce mania in some patients when it is given at normal doses".
It just so happens that one symptom of mania is "aggressive behaviour", and Dr. Jodi Worrel of the Western Missouri Mental Health Centre tells us about drugs like Luvox that "child and adolescent data suggest worsening of aggression" if used. This is further confirmed by research carried out at the Hadassah-Hebrew University School of Medicine in Jerusalem and published in 1993 under the title, Annals of Pharmacology: Fluvoxamine-associated Manic Behaviour.
COPYCAT MASSACRES
Now this drug connection is interesting for the simple reason that one of the two copycat massacres that followed Columbine - in Oregon and in Arkansas - also had a drugs connection for sure. The Oregon shooter, Kip Kinkel, whose racial antecedents are also dubious, had been on Luvox before being passed onto the more powerful drug, Prozac. The Arkansas shooter, Andrew Golden (Jewish?), was probably on the same drug too. How can we say this? For the good reason that a huge number of children in America are on this dangerous drug daily, with the agreement of all kinds of figures in the Establishment. And it is no coincidence that as the number of children in America, who are taking these drugs, has increased, so has the violence in American schools. In Utah, for example, Dr. Ann Blake Tracy, of the International Coalition for Drug Awareness, has pointed out that the use of Ritalin and Prozac are used at the rate of three times more than the national average per capita. The rate of murders and suicides has also increased by the same proportion.
Ritalin is used extensively on children in schools, despite the fact that a 1995 Drug Enforcement Agency report pointed out that "Ritalin shares many of the pharmacological effects of cocaine", and whose side effects are similar to heroin.
BIG BUSINESS
But if the mass media know all this ââ¬â and they do! ââ¬â why is no mention made of the importance of these facts? For the good reason that the drugs business is a huge business. Herbert Okun, a member of the International Drug Control Board for the United Nations, in a recent press conference, pointed out that there were 330,000,000 doses DAILY in America of Ritalin alone, whilst the rest of the world accounted only for 65,000,000 daily doses. That drug alone ââ¬â and there are scores more! ââ¬â means that we are talking of an industry worth billions upon billions of pounds annually.
STRANGE SILENCE
We are thus confronted by the spectacle that whilst sales of Trench Coats have been banned in Colorado, and whilst demands for gun control grow ever louder, there is absolute silence on this matter. This, in itself, would be suspicious but there is yet more. The fact is that what happened at Columbine is still a matter of dispute. Whilst the official media line is that there were two people involved in the killing, many students have spoken of at least five killers! Some students say that they saw Klebold and Harris together, yet shooting and bombing inside the building was taking place elsewhere. Who was doing that shooting?
THREATENED
This is not all. Many of the survivors of the massacre have been threatened by unidentified people with death if they contradict publicly the official version of events. The result is that dozens of students are terrified out of their wits, and many are refusing to return to the school, some saying that there are still other killers amongst the student body.
Not surprisingly, the FBI has been called into investigate the matter in depth, but already this has caused controversy. It is due to the fact that the lead investigator for the FBI is Dwayne Fuselier, a psychologist, whose son was at the same school until 1997. Nothing unusual in that you might think, until you hear that Fuselier's son was one of the students involved in the making of a video film at the school in 1997, which showed trench-coated students, fully armed, walking through the school. The film ends with four students walking away from the school as it explodes in flames. To see this as pure coincidence would really be stretching the imagination for a normal person.
CONFLICCT OF INTEREST
Of course, it has been said that there was no connection between the makers of the film and Klebold and Harris, but researchers have found that there is a common link ââ¬â an individual named Brooks Brown. Brown turns out to have been a good friend of Klebold, and both of these were connected to Fuselier's son. The conflict of interest here is very clear, yet the FBI see no conflict at all! What does it all mean?
COURAGE
Darren Scott, whose daughter Rachel died in the massacre, appeared before the House Judiciary Committee of the House of Representatives on May 27th 1999. A brave man, a committed Christian, he had the courage to say what needed to be said to those with power. We make no comment for it is superfluous.
FINGERS POINTED
"In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the National Rifle Association (NRA). I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA, because I do not believe that they are responsible for my daughter's death.
Columbine was not just a tragedy - it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of that blame lies here in this room. Much of that blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. And when something as terrible as Columbine's tragedy occurs, politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that continue to erode away our personal and private liberties. Political posturing and restrictive legislation are not the answers".

Kurt, since Bowling for Columbine I view Moore through one lens.
And anyone like Moore who demonizes gun ownership--and believe me that movie has had exactly its intended impact among the media, academia and politicians--is no friend of Middle America or the 2nd Amendment.
He's not laughing with the bubbas and crackers, he's laughing at them--and making bank on it too.

DETROIT, Michigan (AP) -- James Nichols, the brother of Oklahoma City bombing conspirator Terry Nichols, says he was tricked into appearing in the documentary "Bowling for Columbine," according to a federal lawsuit filed against filmmaker Michael Moore.
Nichols also alleges in the lawsuit, filed Monday in Detroit, that Moore libeled him by linking him to the terrorist act.

Kurt, label Alex Cockburn anything you want, I don't have a beef with that or care, but rest assured he write's for a living, and like Gore Vidal, has put out allot of truthful fact's at the same time, and rest assured the gangster's have rattled his cage. Cockburn is a smart and very clever writer, who is not in my camp at least in his writting's. Kurt, here is an interesting tibit, his grandfather signed the agreement making Hong Kong a British Colony and his great, great?, grandfather burned the white house down in 1812 after eating the cooking vitel's and drinking the fine booze. My post stand's, for the fact is no one has busted Mikey Moore's balls moore are better than Cockburn. That's what I was saying.. What about racism? It transpires that Eric Harris, the second killer, had two best friends beyond Klebold. One is Asian and one is Mexican. It also happens that of the 14 "victims of racism" only one was a Black, and he was shot because he was a Jock.
It is surely obvious that these have got to be the strangest "Neo-Nazis" ever to have walked the face of the earth. They kill mainly white youngsters; their friends are ethnic minority members; and at least one of them is Jewish!
GERMAN?
What about the fact that they had learned to speak German? Both were followers of a German ââ¬ËGothic' acid-rock group called KMFDM, which are the German initials for "No Majority For Pity". Klebold and Harris wore the ââ¬Ëuniform' of this group regularly and sought to enter the ââ¬Ëworld' of KMFDM more profoundly by learning the original language of the lyrics. Interestingly, prior to the massacre, KMFDM announced that they were splitting up and that their last album would be released on April 20th.
SATANIC
Were KMFDM a ââ¬ËNazi' group? No, simply a part of that cult music world which is heavily tainted by the occult and the satanic. It is also an interesting, if little mentioned, fact that Denver, Colorado is the home to two leading ââ¬Ëmusicians' who are big in this field, and who were recently exposed by Final Conflict magazine in their revealing booklet, Satanism and its Allies: The Nationalist Movement Under Attack.
If these discrepancies were not enough to lay the myth of "a Neo-Nazi massacre" to rest, it transpired that the two killers were alleged homosexuals! Matt Drudge, a well-known American right wing writer, reproduced a piece from the website of a "gay biker" which, praising Klebold and Harris, said in part that they were "a bunch of our fellow homosexuals who decided that they had taken enough". Were they homosexual? It is difficult to know since convincing proof is hard to come by. The fact that they wore nail polish could be explained by the fact that this is common in ââ¬ËGothic' circles; the fact that they were regarded as "faggots" throughout the school could be simply schoolyard gossip and abuse.
LUVOX
A real breakthrough comes when ABC's Colorado affiliate reports on May 4th: "The coroner has released further toxicology reports on Eric Harris, one of the two dead suspects. Specialized testing shows levels of Luvox in Harris' blood in a therapeutic range".
To the average citizen, this means nothing and neither the Washington Post in its article, Shooter Used Often-Prescribed Drug, nor CNN in its report entitled, Columbine Shooter Was Prescribed Anti-depressant, did anything to enlighten him on the matter. They both concluded that there was no connection between this drug and the massacre.
DEPRESSION
Yet we find that in the American Journal of Psychiatry (September 1991), this conclusion: "Our observations confirm the efficacy of fluvoxamine [Luvox] in the treatment of depression, but suggest that this drug can induce mania in some patients when it is given at normal doses".
It just so happens that one symptom of mania is "aggressive behaviour", and Dr. Jodi Worrel of the Western Missouri Mental Health Centre tells us about drugs like Luvox that "child and adolescent data suggest worsening of aggression" if used. This is further confirmed by research carried out at the Hadassah-Hebrew University School of Medicine in Jerusalem and published in 1993 under the title, Annals of Pharmacology: Fluvoxamine-associated Manic Behaviour.
COPYCAT MASSACRES
Now this drug connection is interesting for the simple reason that one of the two copycat massacres that followed Columbine - in Oregon and in Arkansas - also had a drugs connection for sure. The Oregon shooter, Kip Kinkel, whose racial antecedents are also dubious, had been on Luvox before being passed onto the more powerful drug, Prozac. The Arkansas shooter, Andrew Golden (Jewish?), was probably on the same drug too. How can we say this? For the good reason that a huge number of children in America are on this dangerous drug daily, with the agreement of all kinds of figures in the Establishment. And it is no coincidence that as the number of children in America, who are taking these drugs, has increased, so has the violence in American schools. In Utah, for example, Dr. Ann Blake Tracy, of the International Coalition for Drug Awareness, has pointed out that the use of Ritalin and Prozac are used at the rate of three times more than the national average per capita. The rate of murders and suicides has also increased by the same proportion.
Ritalin is used extensively on children in schools, despite the fact that a 1995 Drug Enforcement Agency report pointed out that "Ritalin shares many of the pharmacological effects of cocaine", and whose side effects are similar to heroin.
BIG BUSINESS
But if the mass media know all this ââ¬â and they do! ââ¬â why is no mention made of the importance of these facts? For the good reason that the drugs business is a huge business. Herbert Okun, a member of the International Drug Control Board for the United Nations, in a recent press conference, pointed out that there were 330,000,000 doses DAILY in America of Ritalin alone, whilst the rest of the world accounted only for 65,000,000 daily doses. That drug alone ââ¬â and there are scores more! ââ¬â means that we are talking of an industry worth billions upon billions of pounds annually.
STRANGE SILENCE
We are thus confronted by the spectacle that whilst sales of Trench Coats have been banned in Colorado, and whilst demands for gun control grow ever louder, there is absolute silence on this matter. This, in itself, would be suspicious but there is yet more. The fact is that what happened at Columbine is still a matter of dispute. Whilst the official media line is that there were two people involved in the killing, many students have spoken of at least five killers! Some students say that they saw Klebold and Harris together, yet shooting and bombing inside the building was taking place elsewhere. Who was doing that shooting?
THREATENED
This is not all. Many of the survivors of the massacre have been threatened by unidentified people with death if they contradict publicly the official version of events. The result is that dozens of students are terrified out of their wits, and many are refusing to return to the school, some saying that there are still other killers amongst the student body.
Not surprisingly, the FBI has been called into investigate the matter in depth, but already this has caused controversy. It is due to the fact that the lead investigator for the FBI is Dwayne Fuselier, a psychologist, whose son was at the same school until 1997. Nothing unusual in that you might think, until you hear that Fuselier's son was one of the students involved in the making of a video film at the school in 1997, which showed trench-coated students, fully armed, walking through the school. The film ends with four students walking away from the school as it explodes in flames. To see this as pure coincidence would really be stretching the imagination for a normal person.
CONFLICCT OF INTEREST
Of course, it has been said that there was no connection between the makers of the film and Klebold and Harris, but researchers have found that there is a common link ââ¬â an individual named Brooks Brown. Brown turns out to have been a good friend of Klebold, and both of these were connected to Fuselier's son. The conflict of interest here is very clear, yet the FBI see no conflict at all! What does it all mean?
COURAGE
Darren Scott, whose daughter Rachel died in the massacre, appeared before the House Judiciary Committee of the House of Representatives on May 27th 1999. A brave man, a committed Christian, he had the courage to say what needed to be said to those with power. We make no comment for it is superfluous.
FINGERS POINTED
"In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the National Rifle Association (NRA). I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA, because I do not believe that they are responsible for my daughter's death.
Columbine was not just a tragedy - it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of that blame lies here in this room. Much of that blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. And when something as terrible as Columbine's tragedy occurs, politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that continue to erode away our personal and private liberties. Political posturing and restrictive legislation are not the answers".

Two great things that Europeans as a whole could learn from the Swiss and the Americans is that decentralized governance is an excellent idea for racialists to promote. The other is the value of the citizen militia which is something that few of my comrades have mentioned.
The later is being actively destroyed by anti Occidental forces that use horrid events like Columbine as an oppertunity to suppress my racial brethern in the states. The Hitler a al Hollywood angle is to be expected in such situations as the recent DC area sniper case showed so clearly.
What the propasphere does not want to mention is that when America was a genuine Occidental nation gun crimes were far rare and laws restricting gun ownership were far less common and less oppressive. A sick society like post-America is a violent, depraved one and nothing short of full blown totalitarianism will supress that reality.
