Iââ¬â¢m sure the members here are too smart to fall for attempts to gain access to account billing information from bogus earthlink.net or other providers, but just in case. ---
I got one of those e-mails today from a bogus earthlink.net, and unlike previous attempts, it was very convincing. Earthlink provides an online check for these, and it passed earthlinkââ¬â¢s test. I contacted earthlink support and of course the e-mail was bogus.
Your provider will never send you a link so that you can update billing info. If there were a problem, you would get an e-mail asking you to go to the provider site on your own, log in, and update the info.
But then, Iââ¬â¢m sure you all know this. However, there is this Nigerian prince who is going to make me rich, if only I first send him...
