Friends,
Any hard right columnist who has essays archives with a url address may want to consider the following offer.
Would you like to do a little horse trading?
BATR has completed a transition to a new host. Finally, enough space is available for a major expansion. Therefore, I have a deal for you that will feature your articles.
I need quality content on BATR Reflection Blogger http://batrgroup.blogspot.com/
Iââ¬â¢m willing to feature your most current essay on the left column of BREAKING ALL THE RULES http://batr.org/
If you register and post the title and url back to your essay on BATR Reflections Blogger, I will place your article title and link back within a new section, Noteworthy Reads, that will be on our home page.
Will send you an invite to register a login ID and password (I wonââ¬â¢t know the password, so donââ¬â¢t loose it) All you do is login at: http://new.blogger.com/ You can type or copy and paste into the title and url lines. If you desire to post the entire essay, please do. There are archives listed according to dates.
TRUST ME - this is as easy as it gets!
When the post is made, I will edit the home page of BATR, adding the title and url where the article can be found back on your site. The text of your essay will not be published on our home page. If your content is not on your own site, would link back to a third party that already published your article.
BATR is eager to use RSS (real simple syndication) with those xml url addresses, to promote our content.
RSS is a method of transferring content on the web so that News Aggregators will have the feed to read from another site. Usually its a daily update.
BATR Reflections has a listing in all the top RSS directories. Anyone is able to subscribe to add to their list of feeds. Examples of the NewsIsFree feed can be viewed on Old Right http://oldright.com The right column has the BATR Reflections posting. The left column was created with a java script for many popular political sites (Original Dissent being one)
The advantage of RSS allows for cross promotions and export of content as in the NIF service. I trust that the multiplier effect is evident when sites like LewRockwell are using the concept. If you don't care how many people read your essays, that's fine.
However, if you desire a FREE and easy method to syndicate, then this offer should interest you.
The advantage to me is to have articles posted to BATR Reflections by the author. The other advantage to you is that you will get your name, title of the article and link back to the essay listed under Noteworthy Reads on the home page of BREAKING ALL THE RULES.
With the switch of hosts BATR will finally register Alexa stats.
No problem if you pass. Does this explanation help?
Folks don't like to read long and detailed proposals. RSS is just coming into its own and the xml url address that are required to make RSS work could be new to most. Therefore, my offer should be viewed as a sincere attempt to help friends feature their essays on the web.
Trust you will make a decision that your judge is in your interest.
After registration with BATR Reflections (Blogger creates the account) it takes no more than a minute to post the title of the article, the url where it is archived and hit the post/publish button. One could paste the text if interested, but it is not necessary.
Surely, that isn't too much to do to have an article available for syndication!
If interested, send a private email to: sartre@frontiernet.net
Hope some OD members will accept this offer.
