THIS is the 17-year-old Welshpool girl planning to convert North Wales schoolchildren to far-right politics - raising the prospect of further racial tension in the region.
Jenny Griffin, daughter of British National Party leader Nick Griffin, aims to stand as a councillor for her dad's controversial party as soon as she is able to.
From the age of 14 she has been a convert to their cause.
Miss Griffin has walked city and town streets with other BNP members, canvassing locals and trying to sway them over to the party's extreme policies.
She is already in a position of power within the organisation. At 17 she is the leader of the Young British National Party's Supporters Club.
But last night the teenage student denied the BNP was an extreme party which incites racial hatred - arguing it had reformed over the years into a more moderate outfit.
"Maybe 10 years ago that was what people thought," she said. "But we have changed since then. We have moved on. We are far more mainstream now.

The title is demeaning, as if she couldn't make up her own opinion. I'm not sure having too many of these people under 20 speaking up for anything does it credit - note who voted liberals into office in America (after the voting age became 18).

In Europe, young people are much, much further to the right on racial issues that their parent's generation.

Jennifer Griffin made her first TV appearance last night - albeit on S4C (Welsh languague channel) and speaking in Welsh.
What is it with the "far-right" and nepotism? The whole of the Griffin clan seems to be involved in the BNP. With favouritism like this, perhaps the rumours that Griffin is Jewish are true ;-)

In America, there are virtually no Middle Aged people involved in racial politics. It's mostly people under 25 or over 65! Your hard pressed to find people in their 30's, 40's, or 50's who give a $#^!

Maybe the Presidential election circus will entice them back. When the campaign debates start I'm grabbing a bucket of popcorn, pulling up a deckchair and hitting the 'Find all posts by N.B. Forrest' link.
I like the new tag-line, "The On-Line Home of the Populist Hard Right", 'though "Blood and Soil Conservatisim" had a great in-your-face-you-filthy-neocon-shills feel to it.

Heh, I've missed you guys. :thumbsup: I only realized the other day as I was hearing about how much The Passion is earning in the box office that I'd been away from OD for some months. Who would have ever expected that pursuing an electrical engineering degree would be so time consuming?
