“Being a scorpion is hard to hide”— He pondered, fleeing Kiev with teary eyes… “[I]G-d[/I] gave me wits and [I]chutzpa[/I] for disguise.
I’ll mount a dullard to the other side.”

“Mr. Frog, I barely made it through the war. Please let me travel on your back today.” “No”—said the frog—“You’d kill me on the way. I’ve heard of your deceitful deeds before.”

“Remember: I can’t even float or swim. Why would I do you harm? What would I gain?” The frog agreed. Then, half across, felt pain, And then paralysis in every limb.

“Why did you sting me in this sea of mud? You Judas! Now together we will drown.” “[I]Oy vey![/I]”—replied the scorpion, going down— “I couldn’t stop the devil in my blood!”
