S A N D I E G O, Calif., Oct. 2— California gubernatorial candidate Arnold Schwarzenegger kicked off his bus tour of California today amid allegations of sexual harassment and anti-Semitism.
In a front-page story, the Los Angeles Times, California's largest newspaper, quoted six women who claim Schwarzenegger groped or made sexually offensive remarks to them. One woman told ABCNEWS she encountered Schwarzenegger in the 1970s when he was a bodybuilder.
"The gym was quite full and Arnold was there and I remember him passing by me and groping my breast," Elaine Stockon told ABCNEWS. "And I was just in sheer shock."
Of the six women who spoke to the newspaper, four would not give their names. One claimed that 20 years ago, Schwarzenegger "grabbed and squeezed" her left breast. She told the Los Angeles Times she "just started crying and crying." She said he did not rape her, but he humiliated her.
The Los Angeles Times also quoted a woman, who asked not to be named, who worked on the movie Terminator 2 and claimed Schwarzenegger "would pin me against the corner of the elevator" and try to pull off the straps of her bathing suit.
The story broke just as Schwarzenegger was kicking off his bus tour of California — an event that was supposed to be the crescendo of his campaign.
He confronted the allegations directly today. At first he appeared to deny them: "A lot of those what you see the story, is not true." But he then added, "I have done things that at the time I thought then was playful but now I recognize that I have offended people. And those people that I have offended, I want to say to them I am deeply sorry about that and I apologize."
‘I Admired Hitler’
Yet even as he tried to put out that fire, another broke out.
ABCNEWS obtained a copy of an unpublished book proposal with quotes from a verbatim transcript of an interview Schwarzenegger gave in 1975 while making the film Pumping Iron.
Asked who his heroes are, he answered, "I admired Hitler, for instance, because he came from being a little man with almost no formal education, up to power. I admire him for being such a good public speaker and for what he did with it."
He is quoted as saying he wished he could have an experience, "like Hitler in the Nuremberg stadium. And have all those people scream at you and just being total agreement whatever you say."
The author of the book proposal, Pumping Iron's director, George Butler, told ABCNEWS today that the quotes needed to be seen in context, and that Arnold never said anything anti-Semitic.
"I cannot remember any of these," Schwarzenegger told ABCNEWS. "All I can tell you is that I despise everything Hitler stood for. I despise everything the Nazis stood for, everything the Third Reich stood for."
In the final days of his campaign, Schwarzenegger may be battling yet another opponent: his own past.

I doubt he did, personally. It is a caculated attempt to destroy his campaign. A director from decades ago released this? So is he a democrat or not? If he is a democrat, it would be hard to believe him, because it is all political positioning. And they waited till now to release the info for the maximum effect.
I hope he is elected govenor and I hope he fails.

If Schwarzenegger was a Democrat, do you think those wimmin would be whining almost 30 years later about their ta-ta's being violated??
His comments on Hitler were no different than the ones expressed by former Cincinnati Reds owner Marge Schott. She was the one who said that Hitler did a lot of good things for Germany, something to that effect. There was nothing controversial in the context of their views, but unfortunately, only the people who do not follow NWO standards agree with my assessment.

I agree. This is simply an attempt to destroy his campaign in my opinion. Ahnold has given lots of $$ to the Simon Weaselthal Center.

A fact that speaks volumes about Ahnold's grasping ambition.
He married a Kennedy, and gave generously to the Jewish charity/cause with the highest profile. He knows the score. He knows who runs Hollywood, and what power the media and "star power" like association with the Kennedys can confer.
He's carefully built that as a career the past 30 years. Ahnold is a social climber without peer.
He actually scares the crap out of me.
Does anybody here remember "Pumping Iron?" I haven't seen it since it came out probably, but one scene sticks in my mind. His father died, and he didn't stop training to go to his own father's funeral. I mean, sheeeee -itt, that's just cold.
This guy has boundless ambition, and he's one cynical dude. There's nothing and nobody he won't sell out to get all the way to the top.

I don't know if the charges against Schwarzenegger are true or not (groping and approving of Hitler); however, it's apparent that the man definitely has a past...this morning, the wife (the anorexic) Maria looked positively 'wiped'...she couldn't wait to get away from the questions.
I forsee this election coming out as No Recall...after all, a million people calling the tune for 35 million? People will come out in droves and figure that they may as well keep what they have. IMO.

Poor Freepers. :crybaby: Forced to choose between a Democrat :yucky: -- a racist Democrat at that  -- and a Hitler fan! :hitler: :hitler: :hitler:
I wasn't sure before who I wanted to win, but now it's clear. Go, Arnold baby! And let's get that Constitution amended. This man deserves to be in the White House!

Actually, that book on Arnold never came out. Arnold intimidated the crap out of the publisher, etc. I did read a lengthy piece (about ten years ago) in a French periodical commenting on the said biography and the "unfortunate" author; there's little doubt that Arnold was a admirer of our Fuehrer (and so are my grandparents who actually lived during the golden time of the Third Reich -- I'm getting nostalgic...) -- he would allegedly listen to tapes of our Fuehrer's powerful speeches. He also was heard making repeated remarks praising AH achievements. So what? Any objective historian will tell you the same thing that Arnold said in that interview.
Arnold is an opportunist; who knows what he really believes or stands for.

The California recall race really gets interesting. From the conservative point of view McClintock seems to be the only one electable. But from the fun side of the story, Bustamente and Schwarzenegger are the more interesting candidates. Both of them stuck to ideologies that are inflamatory and bad for race relations. If you are interested in political entertainment, hope that either one makes it into the gubernatorial office.

Let's not miss the nugget of importance here: if Ahnold had praised the bigger killers Stalin or Mao, it never would have made the news.
Once again, Jews frame the picture, and then tell you how you should feel when you look at it.

So it seems that a Republican - even a RINO - is still fair game. $5,000,000 to the jews. Married to a Kennedy. An influential figure in Hollywood. It isn't enough.
Tuesday night is going to be quite interesting - or at least amusing - in the news department.

Ten years ago I would have supported McClintock. Back then I still believed voting Republican made a difference. We've all seen the difference it made.
So now I'm rooting for the most entertaining candidate, and the one who makes race relations worst. Bustamente looks promising, but Arnold's my man. The Hitler quotes may be fake, or maybe he said them just to be outrageous, but they sound heart-felt. And I have no doubt he grew up hearing from dear old Dad that the stories about der Fuehrer were a pack of lies.
As for the bimbo eruptions, I figure that after Clinton no one takes that stuff seriously -- the hypocrisy is just too obvious. The LA Times must be getting desperate.

Stanley: No, Arnold wasn't 'praising' Hitler. What he was saying was how great it must have been to be adored as Hitler was with all those crowds swarming around him.
Arnold was just being a celeb-wannabe at that time. I don't think his words actually praised what Hitler stood for.
That is mularkey.

Well I've groped a few women in my day and I hope to grope some more. I also admire Hitler. The resemblance ends there.
I imagine it was pretty nice in the early Hitler years. Things must have been pretty galling later on, what with all those B17's and Lancasters dropping thiings on people's heads. Then when those beastly Russians showed up with rape in their hearts and minds it must have been awfully unpleasant. Octoberfest 44 must have been a disaster on a Woodstock II level. I wonder if they gave refunds. They not only raped all the women but added insult to injury by stealing all the plumbing fixtures bacause they thought that if they stuck a faucett in the wall of their hovel back home in Siberia all they had to do was turn the spigot and water would emerge. Forget the fact they didn't have any plumbing. As for the toilets, let's not go there.

That story regarding Arnie and his dad was actually scripted. Most of what was shown in "Pumping Iron" was scripted. Right down to the T-shirt episode with Mike Katz and Ken Waller. The Lou Ferrigno stuff is funny to watch now, as it turns out he didn't really get along all that well with his dad, but it played out well as a story onscreen. Oh, there's some documentary footage in the film, but a lot of it was staged, in order to promote bodybuilding.
That said, stories about Arnold admiring Hitler were around BEFORE Pumping Iron. One of the stories regarding Arnold and his idolatry of Hitler concerns his posing in contests. Arnie was known for a certain pose in which he would extend one arm outward, and the extension, etc. looked like Arnie giving the old "Seig Heil" ... is it true? I don't know ... but looking at pictures of that pose make me laugh my ass off for a lot of reasons, and one of them is because it looks like he is indeed saluting Adolph. An aside to that were the stories concerning bodybuilding magnate Joe Edward Weider, yes his initials are J.E.W. - stories about him admiring Hitler were also rampant, as were claims that he wasn't really jewish, just (he and his brother) claiming to be jews in order to "help themselves along" as they built their empire. Ben Weider is a certified nut when it comes to worshipping Napoleon.
The L.A. Times and their Dirty Thursday October Surprise was typical of any jewish run press organ. The evening news here in L.A. was a laugh a minute, with the image of Arnold the Serial Groper building clip by clip. The shots of some of the women were hilarious. One jewess claimed Arnie told her she had a "... nice ahhhsss." Her face reminded me of Mr. Ed however, so I'm not sure she would be angry to have some feature in her favor.

This just in. We have unconfirmed reports that Arnold fondled Hitler!

arjurg: In answer to the question, "Who are your heroes?" the first person he names is Hitler. He goes on to say, "he came from being a little man with almost no formal education, up to power," which pretty well describes Arnold himself.
Whether he or not he was sincere, I am amazed that he got away with it. Well, he should be fine political entertainment.

Sorry for the delay in answering. I've been out of town.
Perhaps Arnold's quick answer that Hitler was his hero was a mistake? GW Bush said his hero was Jesus and he says that his every move is guided by Jesus. I guess we can blame Jesus for GW's missteps, then.
Pols are, indeed, entertaining.

I'd love to hear him say at his inaugural, "Today California. Tomorrow ze vorld!" I doubt he'll be that entertaining.
He'll be interesting to watch, but I expect him to fail. California looks like it's undergoing a political and economic meltdown, and I don't think anyone will be able to fix it.

Stanley: Of course Caleefornia will be 'saved' and it'll be the Bush administration that'll save it. Why do you think that Ahnold was making nice with GW...and didn't the president say he was willing to help? How I don't know but Caleefornia is a pivotal state...GW Bush cannot win without it.
That said, no amount of 'help' is going to deliver Caleefornia to GW Bush...not in a million years.
