Tex, when you contated me to update my email info, you did not indicate I would be receiving up to a dozen useless pieces of email each & every day 'informing' me that somebody somewhere has just posted to a topic that I previously posted to.
I've disabled 'Use 'Email Notification' by default?' on my Options menu but it doesn't matter. The moment I post a new comment, I'm re-subscribed; the moment I'm resubscribed, the emails begin again.
Lookit. I come here every day, pretty much. I can see for myself who responded to which topic, and I get enough superfluous junk email already. I don't want low-cost term life insurance, prescription drugs from Guatemala, or a bigger penis guaranteed, but I'm not sure if I can stop those charlatans from tempting me daily (hourly!) with their bridge-for-sale offers. Can we please modify the software so I don't get 10 to 15 reminders that Fade the Butcher or Angler have just posted to a board I commented on the day before? (No offense to Fade or Angler, of course!)

From both within the admin control panel as well as the database, you should be free of any and all subscriptions. Let me know if you keep receiving any emails. I cleared them out a few days ago, but there could be a bug in the program or something. My apologies for this.

This has happened to me on other boards... if the subscriptions and email notifications are turned on by default and you start posting, you need to turn off the notification option AND unsubscribe to the individual threads for the emails to stop. It's a pain and I think the default should be to have this turned OFF by default, but the vbulletin designers seem to think otherwise.
