Sack Union minister Paswan for promoting superstition: Laloo
Patna, September 24: RJD chief and Bihar's former chief minister Laloo Prasad Yadav on Wednesday demanded that Union Minister Sanjay Paswan be sacked from the Cabinet for "promoting superstition".
Paswan, Minister of State for Human Resource Development, recently honoured more than 50 witch doctors, occultists, sorcerers and faith healers at a function in Patna. Paswan also walked barefoot on glowing embers and brandished swords during the function.
He announced that his ministry would open two centres, in Patna and Darbhanga, for research in faith healing skills.
"Paswan should be immediately sacked from the Union Ministry for flouting the provisions of the Prevention of Witchcraft Practices Act, 1999 of Bihar and for spreading superstition among people," Laloo told reporters in Patna.
"When the world is laying stress on development of scientific temperament, Paswan is busy patronising superstition in society", Laloo said.
He added that Paswan's gesture was "part of the BJP's dhong (ploy) to befool the masses". :taz:

hi, i am new to this forum.but i have noticed that many in this forum have a strange attitude towards india.
okey,i know that many people here hardly know about india,but even those who post about india only post ridiculous thinks,to be frank as if there are no more news.all the posts gives only on image.
its like when u post about america,u post only about paedophiles,materialism,hollywood,political and corporate corruption etc.america is much more than all these things.it gives only one image of america.
the same is the case with india.agreed india has a long way to go in catching up with the west.but guys dont u think it is unfair to give only one side image of india.surely india just like america has different images.india also has its own achievements.
can anyone enlighten me on this issue.
