Why Catholics/trads/conservatives failed to deal with 'the sexual revolution'

This is confusing cause and effect, warrior cultures are totally independent from higher order civilization ideals. We see warrior societies all throughout history across a multitude of societies, and while there were some commonalities between them such as a culture of discipline, decentralized hierarchical forms of government and a focus on lineage and blood, the Roman Catholic Church did not work towards or help build any of these. The Aristocratic Armies that arose in the Crusades were made up of the descendants of Germanic invaders of the late roman empire who converted to Catholicism to pretend they were real Romans. While their reason for fighting against the Muslims was to liberate the Holy Land for the true faith, the existence of the Aristocracy that led to the rise of the Crusades cannot be attributed to the RCC. If you want a return to this sort of warrior culture and masculinity, you need to be in a situation that requires men consistently fighting other men in terms of constant political warfare between small state actors with large potential to expand operations in black swan events. So unless you want to move to Syria, the Balkans, Mexico, Afghanistan, the Caucus or some other periphery and start a Catholic Military Order there I don't really understand how you plan on bringing back this sort of culture.

This is not true. In fact, I'm planning to write an essay about how Christian warrior aristocracy was formed, and how early Christianity was integral in that, and there is a clear continuity.

There is a reason why Christian European (Latin Christianity) warrior culture was far superior to everyone else and conquered the entire world. It was way superior to the pagan warrior cultures of Europe as well. And non-European cultures can't even compare.

This is because Christianity introduced a specific concept of martyrdom. It all started with early Christians in ancient Rome who refused to bow down to the emperors and they willingly died of horrible deaths. This spirit of not just being totally unafraid of death but to also seek glorious martyrdom (not suicidal martyrdom on your own choice like modern jihadis are doing, which is cowardice) was then given to the Germanic aristocracy, through Christianity that glorified martyrdom above all else.

This is why the Germanic Christian warrior aristocracy took Roland as their ideal, the martyr. A very specific Christian inspiration, not a pagan one.

The Church shaped the entire warrior culture of Europe at the time, by giving it the ideology of crusades, of Roland, of martyrdom. It was tied to the reform circles of Cluny and the spirit that was guiding it.

Because of this obsession with heroic martyrdom, Christian Europeans perfected a style of warfare that was never seen in any other culture to such extent, the chivalric knight and heavy cavalry charge which could decide battles in an instant. The European obsession with heroic man-to-man combat. The knightly chivalric cultures was very a specific Christian phenomenon, and that's why you don't find anything similar in pagan Europe.

Also the Church spread the idea that battles are decided by God and that even small armies should seek glory on the battlefield and make daring charges, because if God wants them to win, they will win no matter what. This is what made the Normans so fierce, the belief that they can win any sort of battle, and that's why very small numbers of Norman crusaders went charging bigger Muslim armies with utmost courage and destroyed them.

Europeans perfected a style of warfare that was purely based on Christian "let God decide, I win either way (either as glorious victor or as a martyr)" mindset. The pagans didn't have that and their warrior cultures lost battles, while Christian Europe was unbeatable, invincible, destroyed everyone else, smashed their false idols.

It all goes back to the early Christian martyrs in Rome who REFUSED to bow down, who died for Christ and spilled their blood to fuel the ideal of warrior Christendom eternally.

Also compare Christianity to Islam which never had any warrior culture, their best soldiers were literal slaves like janissaries and mamluks, broken servant people. They did not have a chivalric knight culture. The lost to much smaller Christian armies countless times because their troops were not real warriors.

Christianity is the only true warrior religion, and it humbled the entire world in battlefields.

Ah yes, the pre-Christian Germanics who were famed for their cowardice in war and disdain for bravery and martyrdom. Let's check Tacitus, he should back this up.
"On the field of battle it is a disgrace to a chief to be surpassed in courage by his followers, and to the followers not to equal the courage of their chief. And to leave a battle alive after their chief has fallen means lifelong infamy and shame. To defend and protect him, and to let him get the credit for their own acts of heroism, are the most solemn obligations of their allegiance. The chiefs fight for victory, the followers for their chief. Many noble youths, if the land of their birth is stagnating in a long period of peace and inactivity, deliberately seek out other tribes which have some war in hand. For the Germans have no taste for peace; renown is more easily won among perils, and a large body of retainers cannot be kept together except by means of violence and war. They are always making demands on the generosity of their chief, asking for a coveted war-horse or a spear stained with the blood of a defeated enemy. Their meals, for which plentiful if homely fare is provided, count in lieu of pay. The wherewithal for this openhandedness comes from war and plunder. A German is not so easily prevailed upon to plough the land and wait patiently for harvest as to challenge a foe and earn wounds for his reward. He thinks it tame and spiritless to accumulate slowly by the sweat of his brow what can be got quickly by the loss of a little blood." - Germania
Hmm. That can't be correct.

Then why didn't the pre-Christian and post-Christian Germanics ever reach the heights of warrior culture that they achieved during Christianity? Ancient Germanics lost numerous times and were chased around, leading to migrations, while (Western) Christian realms were never conquered or chased away by anybody. Christian Europe was the only unconquerable Europe.

Also why did the southern non-Germanic lands of Europe also display the valor and heroism of Germanics, but only once they converted to Christianity? For example tercios, condotierri, black bands and so on. Venetian republic too, even though they were merchant republic they sacked the mighty Constantinople.

Pagan Germanics lost to Christians a lot too.

It's clear that Christianity developed a warrior culture superior to pre-Christian Europe.

The best victory of ancient Germanics is some cowardly ambush lol. The third most overrated military force after the early Arabs and Mongols.

The reason why ancient Germanics are so rated is because of marxoid leftist love for the primitive savage. This is why German feminists recently did some sort of historic drama about Germanicus, but they would never do the same about, say, Winrich von Kniprode.

The real Germanic warriors started to emerge after they converted to Christianity. Franks, HRE, Teutonic knights, Swiss pikemen, landsknechts, Habsburg armies etc. The reason why these underrated is because the leftoid marxists don't like them.

If ancient Germania was populated by Christian knights, they would make mince meat out of the entire Roman army and Rome would be conquered within years. And they would not fight them in cowardly ambushes. Instead, they would seek a glorious engagement. They would come out on the open battlefield in armor on their trained fighting horses, displaying their illustrious banners, their magnificent warrior aesthetics. And there would be only few hundred of them, but more than enough for thousands of Roman legionaries. There would be a heroic speech reminding them that win or lose, Jesus Christ has already awarded them. Salve Regina echoing in the background, the holly communion before the battle. Once their heavy cavalry would charge, it would be all over for the Romans with their pathetic little gladius swords. The Romans never had anything to counter heavy cavalry. Christianity perfected such type of warfare because heavy cavalry charges suited the Christian spirit of gambling everything because of faith in God. The obsession with heavy cavalry is what made Christian Europe great, and the pagans never had that. There is a reason why there was no equivalent of knights anywhere outside of Western Christianity.

This is the kind of warrior culture Christianity introduced. Medieval Christian armies were extremely superior to the Romans, look at what tiny little Sicilian kingdom was doing to the upgraded heir of the Roman empire, the Byzantines.

Yet ancient Germanics couldn't conquer Rome until Rome was in complete mess. And they were aided by non-Germanic tribes.

So to even compare pagan Germanics to medieval Christian knights is laughable.

But of course all these neo-pagan rightists have their own opinions, aided by marxist leftoids who hate the middle ages and worship the primitive.

Fitz

caesar noted the germans were the most fierce warriors and that celts had a fear of them(despite being quite fierce themselves). during his conquest of gaul he had a unit of german heavy cavalry that would always win against the celts even when vastly outnumbered.
