I assume the expectation is that Le Pen will come in first in the initial round, but will lose in the run-off?

In any event, I have no doubt that if she does lose in the run-off, the media will portray it as a devastating blow for nationalism (like they portrayed Wilders' parties' second place finish, which was the expectation, as a defeat). In reality, the trend will still be strongly upward. In 2013, Le Pen only got 17%. This year, she'll like score in the mid-20s in the first round. Further, something like 40% of France's youth support her in the first round.

This is a referendum on france's islamization. They might not have another chance after this.

These elections are critical. By my calculations, if Le Pen is defeated the ethnic french will disappear by 2065. I'm pretty sure if she's elected they will make it into the 70s, easily. It's something worth fighting for.

After supporting Hillary out of fear for Trump's "fascism", I've learned my lesson. These supposed "right-wing" candidates are actually what used to be called "centrists". They are moderates, pragmatists. I'm ok with Le Pen.
