All of this just goes to show that the age of party politics is coming to an end and terms like "capitalist" and "communist" are obsolete and meaningless in the 21st century managerial state. The various party ideals and "programmes"-- which in the 19th and early 20th century were political forces of the first rank-- are losing their definition and coherence as politics dissolves into formlessness. Power alone is all that matters now.
