Yes, being Governor was his life's ambition. He ran in the 203 recall election, and got 14 percent of the vote (Schwarzenegger got 48, and the Democrat got a big 32; no one else broke one percent). I voted for him (as I also did when he ran for Controller in 2002, and Lt. Governor in 2006). I would have voted for him when he ran for Controller in 1994 too, but I had fooled around (sexually)
with the Libertarian Party nominee for that office in '94, so I felt obligated to vote for her.
