You guys don't like Adele? To each his own I guess.
I think she has a great voice. I have a soft spot for certain female singers who catch my ear. Rickie Lee Jones, Lucinda Williams, k. d. lang, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Alison Krauss, Enya, Neko Case, etc. Adele reminds me more of an older style of music. She actually reminds me of Frank Sinatra. She has a pleasant voice and her music is closer to simple jazz than it is contemporary pop. It's nice to be able to listen to someone that everyone (kids and adults) in the car can enjoy.
